As the latest version of the City and Guilds 2382-15 qualification, this course will bring you up to speed with the latest 17th Edition wiring regulations, including all the latest amendments. It’s ideal for anyone working in the electrical industry that needs to prove they are up to date with the latest IET wiring regulations.
You’ll learn all the key regulations that you’ll come across in day-to-day installation, as well as exploring how to reference your regs book for those more obscure ones. You’ll focus on seven different units for this short course, covering everything from definitions and protection, to inspection and testing.
The course also includes the latest amendments to ensure you’re fully up to date with your training, such as electromagnetic disturbance, surge protection, medical locations, and operating & maintenance gangways.
This course is primarily aimed at practising electricians and domestic installers, although it is also very popular with other allied professionals who need to update and enhance their understanding of the IEE wiring regulations.
Although there are no formal entry requirements, you’ll need to be over 16 years old, and have a general knowledge of electrical installation and electrical science.
How will I be assessed?
Each of the seven units will be assessed via assignments, and the course concludes with an open book multiple-choice exam that allows 2 minutes to answer each question.
