Designed specifically for those who already have an extensive knowledge of accountancy practice and experience in the field, this Level 4 Professional Diploma in Accounting will advance your skills and abilities even further. Certified and awarded by the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT), it will demonstrate your expertise in this industry.
Typically lasting between 12-18 months, you’ll focus on a range of advanced accounting tasks, including drafting financial statements of limited companies and management accounting. Under this, you’ll study modules on both budgeting and decision & control.
You’ll explore accounting systems and controls, and then also complete two additional optional units, helping you to focus on a specialism of your choice.
As this Professional Diploma in Accounting is aimed at staff currently working in finance roles, it delivers advanced units of study and so you will need to have previously completed a Level 3 AAT qualification to enrol on it, ideally the AAT Advanced Diploma.
How will I be assessed?
Over the duration of the course, you’ll complete a mix of exams and computer-based projects to form your assessment.
Continuing Your Journey
When you have completed this Level 4 AAT Professional Diploma, and have 18 months’ experience working in the industry, you will be entitled to become a full member of the Association of Accounting Technicians (AAT).
This will open the doors to a whole range of opportunities within the accounting and finance professions, and provide a number of pathways for career progression into the financial world and chartered accountancy. You may also have the chance to further your studies with an Accounting and Finance BA (Hons) Top-up degree.
