Are you considering a career as a carpenter or joiner? If you'd like to learn the essential skills required by the construction industry, and earn a widely-recognised qualification, then this is the course for you.

On this Level 2 Diploma in Carpentry and Joinery, you'll cover a range of essential skills and knowledge to prepare you for work, including how to carry out first fix flooring, roofing, frames, partitions and stairs. You'll also explore carpentry maintenance and second fixing operations, as well as learning how to set up and operate a circular saw.

As part of the course, you'll be able to develop your functional skills in English and maths alongside your construction skills. This will help fully prepare you for a successful career in the carpentry and joinery sector.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

Throughout this course, you'll complete a range of practical, hands-on assessments in the workshop to build up your individual portfolio. You'll also take some exams covering health and safety, the principles of building, and questions relating to the trade area.

With this City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Site Carpentry, you'll have a solid understanding and experience in carpentry and joinery work and be able to start your career in the construction industry.
