Do you want to explore your acting skills in the heart of a vibrant, artistic city which is home to The Manchester International Festival? Join us and study with acting industry professionals within reach of professional venues and with access to industry level theatres.

You will further develop your performance skills and styles. You will learn about current industry trends and practices, both within theatre and the world of film and television. As well as this, we will prepare you for your next steps towards the industry helping you hone your audition skills and teaching you how to network and operate as a freelance performer. As part of this we will help you find industry relevent work experience.

Example units: film and tv, acting for auditions, contemporary theatre, site specific theatre, movement and voice.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

You'll take part in a combination of practical performances and workshop assignments for this course, alongside some written coursework tasks, which could include historical research or theory and a log of your acting progress.
