Designed for any student who has learning difficulties and disabilities but wants to progress their learning and work skills, this Routes to Skills Entry Level 3 course is ideal for those who can follow instructions and routines.

On the course, students will get a number of vocational tasters to help them develop essential social awareness and working skills. They'll learn how to live independently and use public transport effectively, as well as focusing on personal care and presentation and surrounding health, safety and dangers.

With the opportunity to work in the Cube Café at The Manchester College, students will get to serve customers and use money in real-life situations. As students develop their skills and complete enterprise projects, they'll be working towards more and more independence, and have the ability to make positive decisions about their next steps.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

Throughout the course, with our help students will build up a portfolio of evidence of the skills and experience they have completed. They will also work on assessments for English and Maths Functional Skills

With this Entry 3 course, students will be able to continue onto our Routes To Employment course at The Manchester College, or even advance onto a number of mainstream Level 1 courses with us.

They could also choose to complete a supported internship or take up a relevant volunteering opportunity.
