T Level - Digital Business Services - Industry Excellence Academy

Our Digital Business Services T Level – equivalent to three A Levels - has been co-developed and designed with our industry partners to meet the needs of industry and prepare you for work in the Computing and Digital sector.

As one of our Industry Excellence Academy programmes, by studying this course you'll be working with industry specialists who will give you the opportunity to learn the skills necessary to pursue a career as a business systems analyst or technical support specialist.

This programme of study has been developed in partnership with Lloyds Banking Group, who have provided industry expertise and input on the design and development of assignments and projects you'll work on. Throughout your studies they and our other industry partners will set you live briefs to work on and will also give you the opportunity to take part in guest lectures and workshops.

You'll undertake employability sessions as part of this programme of study with a heavy influence in working towards increasing soft skills in order to make you more employable.
You will also be required to complete a work placement of at least 315 hours with one of our employer partners such as Lloyds Banking Group.

Min 5 GCSEs grade 4 or above including maths and English. Preferable grade 5 in maths and English

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

The course is assessed by an externally set written exam, an employer set task and an externally assessed synoptic assessment that covers the occupational specialism. This will be achieved by completing a range of different assignments, including coursework and frequent live briefs set by employers in Greater Manchester.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners could progress on to study a Foundation Degree in Network Engineering or Computer Network Security with our higher education partner UCEN Manchester and follow this up with an optional top-up year to earn a BA (Hons) degree. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.

Alternatively, you could progress on to another degree level university course or begin your career with an entry level job as a digital business analyst, data technician, support systems analyst or another similar role.
