A group of students dicsussing Union policies

Have you got what it takes to run our Student Union?

This is a really exciting time for the Student Union as we start to plan ahead for the new academic year, formalising our policies, shaping our campaigns and planning activities.

We’re looking for a new President to be the figurehead of our student body and help shape the Student Union. You’ll be responsible for leading a team of officers to deliver the Student Union’s policies and procedures, as well as writing manifestos and liaising with the wider student body.  As an excellent communicator you’ll be able to work professionally at all levels of the organisation, representing the Student Union at Governors’ and Senior Leaders’ meetings, College committees and working with key stakeholders.

Ideally, you’ll be a recent graduate from The Manchester College within the last two years and have an excellent performance record. This is a full-time, paid position with a salary of £15,271.09. The deadline for applications is Friday 23 June 2017.

If you think you have what it takes and would like to apply for the role please email StudentUnion@tmc.ac.uk for a job description and further information.

As well as recruiting for our President’s role, we’re also looking to build our team of student officers. These roles are a great opportunity, if you’re currently studying with us, to gain voluntary experience and shape the future of our Student Union, making a real difference to our student body. The roles available include:

  • Vice President
  • Secretary
  • Finance Officer
  • Student Communication and Activities Officer
  • Welfare Officer
  • Equalities Officer
  • Campus Officers (one per campus)

Please email StudentUnion@tmc.ac.uk for more information on any of these roles.

Good luck with your application!
