If you’re looking for an introduction to the business world and would like to develop the essential finance skills required today, then this AAT Level 1 Award in Accounting (AAT Access) could be the ideal short course for you.
You’ll cover the basic core areas of working within a business environment, including mathematics for accounting, how to create business documents and essential accounting procedures. You’ll develop your everyday workplace skills and quickly gain the abilities that will help you find employment.
By focusing on accounting in a professional environment and taking this short course, you’ll be building a variety of business and communication skills in a practical way, increasing both your confidence and career prospects. This AAT Access course is also the perfect platform for moving on to further studies.
You don’t need to have any previous qualifications to apply for the course, but you should have a reasonable level of English and Mathematics. We’ll conduct a short initial assessment of these skills to check your current abilities and interview you just to make sure you’re interested in the course and that it’s suitable for you.
How will I be assessed?
For this 12-week course, your work in each module will be assessed via a computer-based assignment, lasting 90 minutes.
Continuing Your Journey
By completing this Level 1 AAT Access award in accounting, you’ll receive an accredited qualification that will open the door to a number of career pathways and a wide range of jobs in the finance industry, including entry roles as a cashier or clerical assistant.Careers page
You will also have the opportunity to advance your studies and move on to the AAT Level 2 Foundation Certificate in Accounting or AAT Foundation Certificate in Bookkeeping.
