Overview
This qualification will help students who want to carry out basic finance and administrative duties in the workplace, using accounting software packages. It will also provide the foundation on which to build accountancy skills. Areas covered by this course include using accounting software, setting up general ledger accounts, recording transactions from a variety of documents, processing invoices and credit notes, and producing reports such as trial balance, audit trail, aged debtors and creditors analysis.

Entry requirements
Applicants will be assessed online for English and Maths skills. They will also be interviewed to identify past achievements and experiences.

How will I be assessed?
Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of in-class activities, group work, peer assessments, self-assessments, and computer-based assessments.

Continuing Your Journey
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress onto a Level 2 AAT Book Keeping or Level 2 AAT Certificate course. Students can also use this qualification to develop a career in the accounting sector, in roles such as data entry clerk, accounts administrator, or trainee bookkeeper.
