As commercial vehicle electronic chassis systems have evolved over time and become more and more complex, this short course will help you understand everything you need to know about electronic braking systems (EBS) and electronically controlled suspension (ECS).
You’ll learn about the evolution of these systems and the principles surrounding the technology involved in both EBS and ECS. Working on both theory and practical elements, we’ll help you understand these different types of systems, with a closer look at their components and functions.
As well as looking at identification and operating overviews, you’ll also learn how to diagnose and test various types of EBS braking systems and ECS suspension systems, focusing on sensors, calibration and system resets.
There are no specific requirements or qualifications needed to enrol on this course, but we do suggest that you’re familiar with larger commercial vehicles or buses and coaches.
