Course Details

  • Through a combination of practical experience and written assignments, this vocational qualification will provide you with the knowledge, skills and understanding needed for a career in the animal care and husbandry sector.

  • Applicants are required to have successfully completed a Vocational Level 1 course or to have received four GCSEs at Grade 3 or above.

  • Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of practical activities, coursework and written assignments.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress onto our Level 3 Animal Care and Management course, or into a career as a kennel or cattery assistant, pet store assistant, rescue centre assistant, general farm worker or dog groomer.
