Course Details

  • The number of people participating in exercise is increasing as people are reaping the benefits on their health. The course is ideal for anyone from a health and exercise or sport science background. Students will develop the knowledge to apply relevant sport and exercise activities to different populations.

  • Applicants are required to have a Foundation degree or equivalent Level 5 qualification in sport i.e. HND
    Minimum UCAS tariff points required: 64.
    The ideal candidate will have the desire to pursue a career within either the sports science or health sector with a keen interest in improving health or sports performance. You will have already worked in a health / sport and exercise setting and have some experience of working with clients.
    Applicants should be highly motivated, have strong interests in health / sport science and be able to work well as a member of a team.
    Applicants initially may be required to attend an interview and complete an interview task.

  • The course will be delivered via lectures, seminars, tutorials, practical sessions, guest speakers / visits and independent study. The course encompasses a variety of assessment methods, including lab reports, essays, presentations, portfolio, exams, demonstrations and practical projects.

  • On completion of the course, learners could go in to employment, or progress on an MSc qualification, or PGCE.
