"This VRQ offers an ideal step to the Vocational Competence Qualification (VCQ) for those who are employed, and wish to continue with their studies, as the knowledge at L3 meets that of the related VCQ.
This qualification also forms the knowledge component (technical certificate) of the IMI Sector Skills Council's Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Installation Advanced Apprenticeship framework. This learning programme is based upon IMI SSC's National Occupational Standards for Auto Electrical and Mobile Electrical Installation.

When an apprentice has achieved a L3 apprenticeship, they can then choose to broaden their education and training in other ways from this firm base. This qualification has two job routes; auto electrical technician or auto electrical aftermarket enhancement technician.
Or instead, learners can go on to take a foundation degree course in order to enter University.
Students progressing from The Manchester College to our higher education partner UCEN Manchester will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
