Beauty Therapy – Industry Excellence Academy

Courses within our Industry Excellence Academy meet the needs of industry and prepare you for work in the sector. On this T Level Transition Programme in Beauty Therapy, you to develop a general understanding of the beauty sector and develop skills including:
o Business context, including how the sector operates
o Health and Safety regulations
o Safe working practices
o An understanding of the client journey
o Client consultation
o Self-development

You will gain skills specific to the Beauty Therapy industry sector, including:
o Giving facials by cleansing, massaging and toning a client's skin
o Giving a makeover by applying and advising on make-up
o Shaping eyebrows and colour eyelashes
o Giving a manicure, pedicure or other nail treatment like extensions and nail art.

- GCSE English or maths at Grade 4 with the other at Grade 3, or Level 2 Functional Skills
- Attendance at our Jump Start programme.
- Alongside your studies, you'll undertake a minimum 15-day work experience as well as having regular guest speakers, workshops from industry experts, working to live briefs and more. You'll also be assigned a specialist employability tutor to support and prepare you for the world of work

To gain this qualification, candidates must successfully achieve the following assessments:
• Synoptic assessment,
• Externally set, externally moderated assignment
• Externally set, externally marked exam

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will... be able to progress on to one of our Level 3, T Level in Beauty Therapy

If you need help with affording college, there are a number of different finance and funding options available to you. You might be eligible for special bursary support or extra help from the government.

Learners are required to purchase a kit (Learners will be given approximate costs at interview) and enclosed toe black shoes, with no heel.
