Our fun bread bakery course is perfect for beginners and baking enthusiasts who wish to learn the essential skills and tricks from the trade to improve their skills.
Whether you work in a bakery, hotel, restaurant or are just an avid enthusiast, The Manchester College can offer the perfect course to provide you with the skills and knowledge to be successful within the hospitality and catering industries.
This 10-week evening course. You will learn the wide range of ingredients and equipment used within a bakery setting. Secondly, you will learn the many different practical techniques in bread making.
Lastly, you will put your theory into practice and produce delicious bread, ranging from loaves, wholemeal breads, rolls, flatbreads, sourdoughs, croissants to Danish pastries and specialty breads.
The only qualifications we ask you to have when enrolling on this course are Literacy and Numeracy at an Entry Level 2 or above.
Beyond that, all you need is a passion for bread and baking.

The course is assessed through a variety of in-class assessments and practical activities.
Continuing Your Journey
Once you’ve completed this introductory course, you may want to undertake an intermediate bread bakery, artisan bakery course or hobby pastry course to develop your skills even further.Careers page
