Introduction to Health and Social Care

This course gives you the opportunity to acquire and develop generic, transferable and sector-specific skills for Health and Social Care in order to complete tasks and demonstrate a level of achievement that enables you to progress to further learning.

The Certificate offers an introduction to the health and social care sector before then allowing you to progress onto the diploma, giving you the opportunity to develop a broader range of skills in the health and social care sector later in the academic year.

On the course you'll learn about health and social care services, communication skills required for the sector, how to advise others about healthy lifestyles and much more.

You will have the opportunity to experience guest speakers from the Health and Social Care sector as part of your course.

No formal qualifications are required.

Assessment for this course will take place through the completion of coursework and practical activities.

Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners will have the opportunity to progress onto the Level 1/2 Extended Certificate in Health and Social Care to further their knowledge of the sector.
