This qualification provides you with the knowledge, understanding and skills you need to prepare for employment in an administrative or secretarial role. This includes the many digital and practical skills required for today’s business environment. The qualification also provides career development opportunities if you are already in work or gives you the option to continue your studies further at a higher level.
You will study a wide range of areas within business administration including working in business and administration, communication electronically, creating business documents, using the internet and Word processing software.
Other than a suitable level of maths and English, no prior knowledge, understanding, skills or qualifications are required.
How will I be assessed?
The course is classroom and assignment based. You will study the course for one or two days per week for one academic year and produce assignments relevant to the course units you are studying.

Alternatively, you may decide to take your skills to the next level and progress on to a Level 2 certificate. Continuing on to further study will develop your skills, knowledge and employability further.
