  • If you have an entrepreneurial flair and want to develop your business skills further, but have also always been fascinated by the marketing and promotional side of the business world, this BTEC Level 3 Diploma could be the perfect course for you.

    You’ll look at a wide variety of topics surrounding both business strategies and operations, with a specific focus on how marketing and advertising interacts with this. From starting a small business to the law, finance and accounting of multinational firms, you’ll develop a number of different skills to help you in your future career.

    Each unit of the course will help you develop management skills and a strategic planning ability, with a focus on achieving a long-term career plan. You’ll also have the opportunity to join in with competitions and work-based projects with a number of large businesses in Manchester.

  • You’ll complete a number of different project assignments at the end of each unit on this course, and these take a variety of forms. You may need to complete a role play for one unit, a written piece of course work for another and a combination of group work and individual presentations for a third!

  • If you’d like to continue developing your skills and expanding your knowledge of the business world, this diploma will give you the qualifications you need to apply for a university-level degree course. You could even stay with us at The Manchester College and complete a foundation degree in Business and Marketing, with an optional top-up year to earn a BA (Hons) degree.

    Any kind of marketing qualification will give you a unique set of abilities for the working world and you could find yourself employed as a market researcher or event manager, or be responsible for an advertising or promotions department in a large business. Whatever you decide, there are a number of career opportunities in business and marketing to choose from.

  • This course is free to enrol on if you’re 16-18 years old, but if you’re over 19, you might have to pay a tuition fee for this qualification.
