Overview
Computer-aided design is the use of computers to aid in the creation, modification, analysis or optimisation of a design, and it is widely used in a variety of industries.
If you already have prior knowledge of CAD and would like to enhance your skills further, this practical course covers topics such as drawing commands, editing commands, layout of drawing for printing purposes (control of scale, visibility etc), annotation, text and dimensioning, user interface, file management and much more.

Entry requirements
Candidates should have either completed the basic course, or have a basic level of drawing ability using the Autocad software before enrolment on the course.

How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed on attendance to the course. Attending three of the four weeks will allow the award of a college certificate of completion.

Continuing Your Journey
Once you’ve completed this course, you may want to undertake the Advanced CAD course to further enhance your skills.
