(Full Time - 1 year)
This qualification will help students prepare for a career as an Early Years Educator, enabling them to work with children from birth to five years old. Students will also gain knowledge of working with children aged five to seven years old. Areas covered by this course include child development, health and wellbeing, understanding children's additional needs, play and learning, assessment and planning, and emergent literacy and maths.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
Assessments for this qualification are made up of a variety of assignments, work-based assessments, professional portfolios and external assessments.
Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress onto a higher education course at degree-level study with our higher education partner, UCEN Manchester. Students progressing from The Manchester College will receive a cash award through the Achievers Scholarship.
