During your time on the course you'll have the opportunity to take part in a range of live briefs and projects that reflect what you'd be working on in your future career in the industry.
Throughout the course you'll cover a wide variety of development-related topics, diving straight into work with CSS and HTML, and exploring the functionalities of C# ASP .NET MVC applications.
You'll also get experience handling data with MongoDB, learn about SQL as well as JavaScript (including Node.js, Angular.js and Express.js.).
You'll require four GCSE's at grades 9-4 including English or Maths or prior achievement at Level 2. A merit or higher at Level 2 or NVQ Level 2 may be considered as GCSE equivalent.
A large part of this course will be project-based, as you'll be completing a range of different assignments, including coursework set by us and frequent live briefs provided by GM Employers.
You'll also take part in guest lectures and workshops with employers from our industry partners, as well as completing externally marked coursework and exams.
Upon successful completion of this qualification, you'll have the opportunity to progress onto degree level study with our higher education partner UCEN Manchester and complete a Foundation Degree in Software Development or Network Engineering, with an optional top-up year to earn a BA (Hons) degree.
Alternatively, you could apply to another university to study other degree level qualifications.
Once you've completed your university studies, you could become a software developer, IT systems analyst, programmer or developer.
