Have you ever thought about a career as a construction site manager? In an industry that's always in need of skilled, qualified experts and currently unable to meet demand, this Diploma in Construction and the Built Environment is designed to give you the foundations necessary for a life long career.
You'll learn what it takes to succeed as a construction manager in this modern, challenging industry, developing a variety of skills and techniques around project management, civil engineering, surveying, the built environment and graphical detailing.
Focusing on important aspects like health, safety and welfare in the construction industry initially, you'll then move on to learning all about measuring, estimating and tendering processes, as well as what settling out is, using maths and science alongside a number of different tools and materials to help you succeed. You'll also learn how to effectively plan and coordinate large projects to crucial timescales!
We ask that you have at least 5 GCSEs at grade C or above to enrol on this diploma, including Maths, English and a Science subject.
Throughout the course, you'll be completing a variety of coursework that will be continually assessed, with your tutors checking you're developing all the necessary skills you'll need.
You'll also take part in a series of assignments, both practical and written, that will be assessed as well.
