The level 3 Fast-Track is an exciting, intensive course, which is a very rewarding way to gain a vital qualification.
The Level 3 Certificate in Counselling Skills is the essential foundation qualification you need to enable you to gain entry onto a professional counsellor-training course.
On this course, you will build a robust base of knowledge of counselling theories on the development of personality, using counselling skills, ethical, professional and legal issues, and personal development.
The level 3 course is also known as a stage 2 course in that it is essential preparation for professional training.
To be eligible for this course, you will need to have previously completed a Level 2 Award in Counselling Concepts, or be suitably qualified in a related subject.
Or, candidates with exceptional experience in other professional roles are also strongly encouraged to apply and we welcome applications from colleagues in related fields who currently work in helping relationships. We welcome, for example, applications from colleagues in the NHS, who will have had training and CPD in communication skills and active listening skills with patients; or you may work in education, social care, social work, or a specialist voluntary sector agency. And many people access the course via this pathway.
We’ll also invite you for an interview to discuss your suitability in more depth.
However, keep in mind that this is a relatively intensive, short course and so we are keen to enrol learners who are fully committed to achieving their level 3 qualification within the time-frame we offer.
How will I be assessed?
There is a varied range of assessment methods including assignments, practical observations, reflective writing, and presentations
