Overview
If you are looking for a career in the creative and digital sector then this Creative Media Production and technology – Motion Design and Animation Extended Diploma Level 3 course will give you the skills that you'll need to succeed. The skills covered by the course have been chosen to reflect the demands of working in motion design and animation. We've put employment-focused skills at the heart of the course so you can confidently apply for creative and production jobs straight after leaving College.
The course is partnership with Flow Creative a multi-award winning creative studio based in Manchester. Flow Creative specialises in animation and moving image production. Flow tell their clients stories in an interesting and effective way through creative use of design and animation. They engage audiences across platforms with compelling story-telling.

Entry requirements
To enrol on this course, you’ll need to have at least 4 GCSEs at grade 9-4 (grade A-C), including English Language. Alternatively, you’ll need a Level 2 vocational qualification with Functional Skills English Language at grade C or above.
You should be between 16-18 years old too, have good communication skills, be able to work individually and as part of a team, with a strong interest in creative media or a portfolio that illustrates your interest.

How will I be assessed?
The course is assessed through written reports, blogs and diaries, sketchbooks, portfolio development, image creation, design solutions, audio-visual recordings, one to one feedback and interviews.
There are no formal examinations connected to this course. Students overall grade will come from the final project assessed by tutors and moderated by the exam board at the end of each year.

Successful completion of this Creative Media Production and Technology Extended Diploma Level 3 course can lead you to a wide range of higher education courses, foundation degrees and BA degrees. You may also be able to enter employment directly or join an apprenticeship or higher apprenticeship scheme.
