If you’ve completed a HND in performing arts and would like to convert your qualification to a BA (Hons) degree, then this top up course in Dance and Performance could be perfect for you. It will help prepare you for a future career as a performer, a dance artist and a creator in this ever-changing industry.
Covering a wide range of dance styles from contemporary, ballet and tap, to jazz, hip hop and capoeira, you’ll focus on developing your creative and technical skill with performance pieces that are both devised and improvised. You’ll also take a closer look at other performance genres including singing, acting, physical comedy, trapeze work, acrobatics and even aerial skills!
The year-long course will help hone your abilities as a dancer and performer, both on stage and off it, as you learn what it takes to teach, create, perform, and manage your own marketing and finances. You’ll build up a creative portfolio and professionally filmed showreel, before devising and performing in your own festival.
