This short course will help give students the knowledge and skills to support individuals to live well with dementia. Students will cover types and causes of dementia, symptoms, patterns and prevalence; national dementia strategies; living well with dementia and how to support an individual and anyone caring for them.
This course is suitable for any Health and Social care students or frontline staff working or volunteering in the sector.
How will I be assessed?
This course will be assessed by the completion of a workbook.
Continuing Your Journey
Once you’ve completed this Level 2 course you’ll be able to progress onto further the level 2 or 3 Health and Social care qualifications. This course will be useful for those working, or wishing to work, with individuals diagnosed with dementia and their carers.Careers page
