Overview
This course will provide you with the knowledge and understanding of babies and young children from birth to seven years of age and with applied knowledge in the early years (0-5 years-old).
You will get to learn the roles and responsibilities of the Early Years Practitioner, health and safety, safeguarding, and protection and welfare of babies and young children. You will also learn how to support children’s development, care routines and the planning and delivery of activities.
The qualification content meets the Department for Education’s Level 2 criteria for a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner in the workforce.

Entry requirements
This course requires 4 GCSE’s grade 9-3 including English, or a previous Level 1 or 2 attainment.

How will I be assessed?
This course will be assessed through assignments and observations of workplace practice.

Continuing Your Journey
Upon successful completion of this qualification, students can access Level 3 Early Years Educator courses.
