This course will prepare learners for the roles and responsibilities associated with being an Early Years Practitioner so they can ensure the safeguarding, protection and wellbeing of the babies and young children that they are looking after.

As part of this qualification learners will gain knowledge and understanding of various aspects of childcare that they can apply in the workplace such as preparing children for a school environment, supporting children with special educational needs or disabilities and encouraging children's development through purposeful play and educational activities.

For 16-18 courses unless the course is a T Level or Foundation Year this isn't required
- Students must have a minimum Level 1 qualification in English (GCSE Grade 2 or above).

You will be on a course where assessment of assignments and observations of workplace practice supports your programme of learning.

On successful completion of the level 2 Diploma students can access level 3 Early Years Educator courses.
