Course Details

  • This course will help students look at emotional intelligence, including how we can better understand ourselves and interpret others. Aspects of the course include understanding how emotions work, the important connection between what we think and how we act, identifying the triggers that cause ‘negative’ emotions, developing personal resilience skills to remain calm and neutralise a situation, and understanding the effects of stereotyping, making assumptions and judgement.

  • There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification.

  • Assessments for this qualification are made up of classroom based activities.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to continue onto further study in the area of employability skills, including dealing with difficult people and situations, time management and neurodiversity.
