As one of the fastest-growing industries worldwide, Esports is defined as organised competitive gaming between individuals or teams. Uniquely intersecting sport, marketing, enterprise, IT, and creative disciplines, offering diverse learning and career opportunities.

The level 3 Extended Diploma in Esports will provide a comprehensive introduction to Esports, equipping you with in depth game knowledge, developing your teamwork, problem solving, digital literacy, marketing and event management and whilst providing you with an understanding of the business mechanisms that drive Esports.
Studying in our brand new Esports suite you will explore major game titles, tournament structures, and the roles of key stakeholders in the industry. Additionally, the course addresses essential technological, psychological, and organisational factors for success in Esports.

Alongside exposure to high-end competitive gaming you'll develop analytical skills, game strategies, and practical knowledge in video production, game design, and Esports branding. You will also gain insights into player health and fitness, live-stream broadcasting, shoutcasting, and the essentials of launching an Esports enterprise. Key topics such as nutrition, psychology, ethics and current industry trends will round out your skillset.

There are a number of different units on this two-year course each will be assessed via different methods. This will be a combination of both practical assignments and written tasks, with a focus on research and problem solving skills, planning and production, and evaluation and reflection.

Upon completing the program, you can pursue Higher Education or Foundation degrees in fields such as Esports, Business, Digital Marketing, Events Management.

Alternatively, the skills you acquire throughout the program are highly valued by employers, enabling you to step directly into a career or seek opportunities with apprenticeship providers.
