  • The City & Guilds Level 2 Diploma in Hospitality Industry Skills – Food Service (QCF) is a preparation for work qualification that can be assessed in a workplace or realistic working environment.
    You will demonstrate your skills at serving food and drinks in a variety of settings including silver service and table service. You will learn about the importance of a safe, hygienic and secure working environment, how to work as part of a team, how to apply for a job and prepare for a successful interview.

  • Applicants for this course should have a desire to work in the food service industry and a passion for customer service.

  • Students will be assessed throughout the course through portfolio based work, practical assessments and written tests to evidence their skills and knowledge.

  • Upon successful completion of this course, students can progress on to either a Level 3 Food and Beverage Service, Level 3 technical qualification in Food Service or Professional Cookery or Level 3 Supervisory qualification.
    This qualification will also open up a huge range of job opportunities in a wide range of organisations such as hotels, restaurants, conferencing, tourism, fast food chains, commercial catering organisations, outside catering events.
