Course Details

  • This qualification covers a wide range of topics and skills designed to help students grasp the fundamentals of forensic science and criminal investigations. Students will cover practical and theoretical procedures, look at the applications of criminology as well as elements of psychology and legislation relating to this. Students will also take part in work experience to help them gain a better understanding of what roles in this industry include.

  • Applicants will need have at least five GCSE’s at a Grade 4 or above including English, maths and science.

  • Assessments for this qualification are a mix of written examinations, supervised assessments, coursework and presentations.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification students will be able to progress to higher education in courses including Policing and Criminal Investigations, Forensic Science and Forensic Psychology.
