Course Details

  • This qualification aims to develop student’s knowledge and understanding of customer service in the Hospitality industry, and food safety in catering. Students will learn how to prepare and serve drinks, food service etiquette and also understand the different food groups and their contribution to a healthy, balanced diet.

    Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.

  • This course will be assessed by portfolio based work, practical assessments, written assignments and realistic working environments.

  • This course can lead on to a variety of different courses such as Level 1 Diploma in Vocational Studies, Level 2 Award in Barista Skills. Level 2 Award in Food Safety in Catering, Level 2 Award in Healthier Food and Special Diets and Level 2 Certificate in Hospitality Industry Skills Food Service. This course also prepares students for a career in the Hospitality & Catering industry.
