Course Details

  • If you’re a technician working with electric hybrid vehicles, this is the perfect course to ensure you’re comfortable and knowledgeable in assessing and fixing any potential problems with them.

    The course has been developed by the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI), and will give you the skills you need to work safely around the hybrid systems in vehicles.

    You’ll learn how to effectively repair and maintain hybrid vehicles, understand the dangers of the high voltage system and ensure you can maintain good safety practices at all times.

  • You don’t need any specific qualifications for this award, but you will need to have worked with hybrid vehicles before and have a familiarity with repair and maintenance.

  • The course will be divided into 50% practical work and 50% theory. You’ll also take a multiple-choice test at the end of the unit to check your knowledge.

  • With this award, you’ll add an extra layer of knowledge to your existing skills, further enhancing your career prospects. There are a number of other specialist certificates and awards you could study next, if you wanted to develop your abilities further.
