Course Details

  • CCNA Semester 1 covers networking architecture, structure, and functions. Students will be introduced to the principles and structure of IP addressing and the fundamentals of Ethernet concepts to provide a foundation for the rest of the course. Throughout the course students will gain knowledge and understanding of router hardware, network technologies and designing IP addressing schemes and many more routing and switching based topics. This course is instructor-led and will be made up of different activities including using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work and a wide array of assessment types and tools. The CCNA Routing & Switching curriculum helps students to prepare skills required for the workplace and builds a foundation for success in networking-related careers.

  • Applications must possess Level 1 Functional Skills or above in both English and Maths.

  • This course will be assessed through both online and practical examinations.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can progress onto the CCNA Instructor Training Semester 2 course.
