Course Details

  • CCNA Semester 2 covers the architecture, components and operations of routers and switches in a small network. Students will learn how to configure routers and switches for basic functionality. As well as developing skills in configuration, students will learn how to implement VLANS, static routing and NAT. This is an instructor-led course and is the 2nd of 4 in the Cisco CCNA Routing and Switching curriculum. The course includes activities using Packet Tracer, hands-on lab work and a wide array of assessment types and tools. The CCNA Routing & Switching curriculum helps students to prepare the skills required for the workplace and builds a foundation for success in networking-related careers.

  • Applicants must have completed CCNA Semester 1 or have similar experience.
    A Level 1 Functional Skills or above in both English and Maths is also required.

  • This course will be assessed through both online and practical examinations.

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification, learners can progress onto the CCNA Instructor Training Semester 3 course.
