The Great British Bake Off has created a passion for all things cake related. If you love baking and want to take your cake decorating skills to the next level, then this is the course for you.
This highly practical, 10-week part-time course is perfect anyone that has some knowledge of cake decorating and will give you the further experience and skills you need to produce run outs, flowers, modelling figurines and perfect finished decorated cake for special events such as wedding cakes, novelty cakes and Christmas cakes.
Whether you’re thinking about setting up in business making cakes and cupcakes for special occasions, you work in a bakery, hotel or restaurant, or you’re an avid enthusiast, this is the perfect course for you to develop your cake decorating skills and knowledge.
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, but you should have a passion for cake making and the enthusiasm to develop your skills and knowledge.
How will I be assessed?
There is no formal assessment for this course. You will develop your practical skills throughout the ten weeks as you learn the techniques of cake decoration.
Continuing Your Journey
Once you’ve completed this course, you could progress on to our Level 2 Patisserie and Confectionary course or broaden your knowledge further with one of our courses on cake, bakes and treats, chocolate or bread bakery.Careers page
