Course Details

  • If you are interested in starting a career within the Freight Forwarding industry, or if you are already in an entry level Freight Forwarding role and are looking to up-skill, then this course is for you.
    The course provides students with basic but essential knowledge to establish good practices as an employee within the industry. Throughout this programme, students will gain an understanding of International and European Imports and Exports, Trade Associations, Organisations and Regulating Bodies within Freight Forwarding as well as developing strong Customer Service skills and learning about Health and Safety in a Freight Forwarding Office.

  • There are no formal entry requirements for this qualification. However, it is important that the applicant has a very keen interest in the industry and a willingness to learn.

  • This course will be assessed by submitting a portfolio as evidence of work. The portfolio will contain:
    • Videos/Photographs
    • Written assignments
    • Practical activities
    • Reflective journals
    • Questions/Answers
    • Worksheets
    • Recorded discussions with your tutor

  • Upon successful completion of this qualification students can progress onto Level 2 Diploma Studies in European and International Freight Forwarding. Students can also use the qualification to progress onto an apprenticeship, and work towards becoming skilled in their chosen career.
