Overview
This one day course is for students that have a real passion for sport, and are interested in the science of coaching sport skills. Students will understand the responsibilities, skills and techniques used by a sport coach whilst delivering sessions.
Students will also learn how to plan, deliver and review a sport coaching session as well as understanding the health & safety aspects when planning sport sessions.
The course is ideal for those wanting to support their career as a sport coach, leisure attendant, fitness instruction or personal trainer.

Entry requirements
There are no formal entry requirements for this course, however students are required to have basic skills in communication, pitched at Level 2, due to an element of communication involved.

How will I be assessed?
The course will be assessed by a practically led sport session and summative worksheet.

Continuing Your Journey
This qualification can provide progression on to our Fitness and Activity Leader qualifications or our Health Care qualifications.
