  • Are you looking to start your journey to an amazing and varied career in computing? An exciting journey that will constantly evolve with changing technology and new developments.

    With this course you’ll develop the fundamental skills and knowledge needed to take that first step in to the IT industry. It provides a foundation in basic hardware maintenance and software installation. You will also develop invaluable troubleshooting knowledge and skills.

    This is an ideal qualification if you are an adult learner looking for your first role in the ICT industry, looking for a change in career or are developing the skills you need to carry out maintenance on your own their computer.

  • You’ll need to have Entry 3 Functional Skills in English and Maths or be able to demonstrate competence in both.

  • Throughout the course you’ll be assessed on both your theoretical knowledge and practical understanding. This will include written assignments and observed practical sessions.

  • After completing this Level 1 course you can advance onto a Level 2 course such as L2 Diploma in ICT Systems and Principles for IT Professionals.

    The diverse set of skills that you develop will prepare you to pursue a career as a systems analyst or system support technician.
