Whilst studying this course you will be working with industry specialists and gaining consistent opportunities to learn the skills required to work in the computing and digital sector, specialising in Fundamentals of IT, Global Information, Cyber Security, and Cloud Technology
During your time on the course you'll have the opportunity to take part in a range of live briefs and projects that reflect what you'd be working on in your future career in the industry.
Throughout the course you'll cover a wide variety of development-related topics including, computer networks, systems analysis and design, mobile technology, computer systems hardware and software.
Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
Five GCSE's at grades 9-4 including English and English or prior achievement at Level 2. A merit or higher at Level 2 or NVQ Level 2 may be considered as GCSE equivalent.

A large part of this course will be project-based, as you'll be completing a range of different assignments. You'll also take part in guest lectures and workshops with employers from our industry partners, as well as completing externally marked coursework and exams.
You could stay with us and join our HE provision at UCEN Manchester and complete a foundation degree in software development or network engineering, with an optional top-up year to earn a BA (Hons) degree.
This diploma will give you the qualifications you need to apply for a university-level degree course.
