This short course will help give students the knowledge and skills to improve their understanding of manual handling to support the mobility needs of individuals in the care sector.
Students will cover the anatomy of the spine, legislation covering moving and handling, and the theory and practical application of equipment and techniques for handling people.
This course is suitable for any Health and Social care students or frontline staff working or volunteering in the sector.
How will I be assessed?
This course will be assessed by both written and practical assessments.
Continuing Your Journey
Once you’ve completed this Level 2 course you’ll be able to progress onto further the level 2 or 3 Health and Social care qualifications. This course will demonstrate competence of Care Certificate Standard 13.3 to a prospective health and social care employer.Careers page
