If you’re looking to develop practical and technical skills in music recording and production and using a Digital Audio Workstation (DAW), then this Level 2 Certificate is perfect for you.
You’ll be setting up and operating audio and MIDI equipment and developing your knowledge of the software and equipment used in music production. Much of the focus will be on multi-track recording and sequencing.
Working alongside industry experts you will gain a first hand understanding of how the music industry operates.
This course runs from September to December and January to May.

Completion of the Level 1 Award in Music Technology is beneficial - but it's not essential.
Once you apply, we will invite you to come and meet us for an interview to make sure that you are suitable for the course.
How will I be assessed?
Assessments will focus on an evidence portfolio that you’ll build up throughout the course. This will include some written assignments but will mostly consist of practical studio and DAW projects.

After you’ve successfully passed this Level 2 course in Music Technology, you’ll have the skills and expertise needed to advance onto the Level 3 Diploma in Music Technology with us at The Manchester College.Careers page
This is the ideal step to deepen your knowledge and help prepare you for a number of roles in music technology, including sound engineering (live or recording), post-production engineering, and DJ-ing. You’ll find a range of career opportunities in the Music industry to explore.
