On this one-year course, you'll learn about sound recording, creative synthesis and sampling DAW production and mixing and mastering techniques. Working alongside industry experts you will develop your own creative projects and gain first-hand understanding of a wide range of skills and techniques and learn how the music industry functions and operates.

This course is delivered 3-days a week from September to June and on successful completion of this course, you will have enough credits to progress to university to further your studies.

Once you apply, we will invite you to come and meet us for an interview to make sure that you are suitable for the course.

If you have successfully completed the Level 2 Certificate Music Technology, this will be beneficial - but it's not essential.

Much of this course will be focused on hands-on practical assessment, including live demonstrations, recording sessions, portfolio building and group work which will be assessed by your tutor. There are also two externally assessed units on DAW Production and Music Technology in Context. For these units you will work to a brief set by the exam board and your work will be assessed by an external examiner.

Experience gained throughout the qualification will help you progress to Higher Education such as the BA (Hons) Creative Music Professions at The Manchester College or gain successful employment as a sound engineer, composer, producer or promoter.
