The Level 3 Diploma in Nail Technology is a qualification that has been specifically designed to develop your practical skills in; how to provide manicure and pedicure treatments and how to apply and maintain nail enhancements.

To further enhance your practical skills you will have the opportunity to cover the following practical units;
The application of airbrush designs for nails,
Enhancing nails using electrical files,
Application and design of nail art,
How to display retail stock to promote sales in the salon,
How to promote both products and services to salon clients

In addition to the mandatory unites, you'll also complete five optional units in topics such as the effective running of a business, spray tanning, working with colleagues in the beauty related industry, how to set up and run a new business, salon reception duties and managing a commercial column.

4 x GCSE grade 4 or higher including English or Maths, and a previous level 2 qualification along with a subject specific interview

The study programme provides an opportunity for you to develop a variety of practical, theoretical and employability skills. Within this qualification you are required to complete a minimum of twenty four hours of work experience

You will be on a course where assessment of practical observations supports your programme of learning.
You will build a portfolio of evidence and assessed continually through practical assessment, exams and assignments.

When you have successfully completed this qualification you will have the opportunity to progress to Media, Beauty Therapy or full time employment.

All learners are required to wear a uniform costing approximately £42 and enclosed toe black shoes, with no heel.
