  • The aim of this part time, evening course, is to enable participants to identify the major components of an Oracle Database. This can include retrieving row and column data from tables with the SELECT statement, creating reports of sorted and restricted data and employing SQL functions to generate and retrieve customized data.

You’ll start with an introduction to database concepts and manipulating data and learn how to retrieve data with the SELECT Statement. Then, you’ll begin to develop your skills converting functions and additional expressions and using Subqueries to solve queries.

  • The only qualifications we ask you to have when enrolling on this course are Literacy and Numeracy at an Entry Level 2 or above. There will also be an initial assessment.

Beyond that, all you need is a passion for data management and Oracle SQL.

  • The course is assessed through a variety of in class assessments and practical activities.

  • From here, you’ll be able to build on your knowledge and abilities, working towards a number of exciting and dynamic roles in the IT industry.

Once you’ve completed this introductory course, you may want to undertake a more specific qualification with the Oracle Certified Association to develop your skills even further.
