Course Details

  • This one day training event aims to teach students how to provide emergency first aid as well as understanding how to respond to common and minor injuries.
    Students will take part in tasks that will help them understand how to correctly assess an emergency situation, provide CPR, manage a choking child/infant and how to put people in the recovery position.
    All students will receive and Emergency Paediatric First Aid certificate upon successful completion of the course.

  • There are no formal entry requirements but full mobility to carry out CPR on the floor is essential to pass this course.
    Casual clothing and trousers are recommended.

  • This course will be assessed in 2 parts. 50% of the mark is based on the practical assessment, and 50% of the mark is based on the written assessment booklet.

  • Students who complete this course may be interested in studying towards a full Level 1 course in either Child Studies or Health and Social Care.
