Explore and develop your creative, technical and professional skills to prepare you for a successful future in the work of Technical Theatre, dance or drama. A qualification in technical theatre offers an exciting and highly practical qualification explores a variety of technical theatre roles and responsibilities and gives a solid understanding of the back-stage world of a professional theatre.
If you’re interested in developing your skills and ability in dance and want to pursue a career in the performing arts industry then this course is for you. Students will explore many different aspects of the performing arts business and will work from both choreographed material and work to create and perfect your own pieces. You will discover what it takes to work as a dance company and explore both on and off stage job roles.
The drama qualification explores a variety of acting and drama skills and techniques. Students will be introduced to different aspects of the business and will work from both scripted material and devise your own pieces and will discover what it takes to work as a theatre company and explore both on and off stage job roles.

Work Experience is a vital part of the course and you will be supported in finding a work placement relevant to your study.
How will I be assessed?
You’ll be assessed through a variety of practical and written assessments giving you the opportunity to demonstrate the skills you have developed.
Continuing Your Journey
With this qualification students can progress into professional work in the performing arts industry or continue their education with a Level 3 Diploma in Performing Arts in Acting, Dance or Production Arts and eventually a HNC or other degree level qualification.Careers page
