Want to become a chef in a professional kitchen? This course is designed for you. Building on your Level 2 cookery qualification or previous experience, you'll develop advanced skills to prepare, cook, and present a wide range of dishes - helping you step into roles with greater responsibility or at prestigious establishments.

- Financial control in the commercial kitchen
- Preparing and cooking:
- Soups and sauces
- Fruit, vegetables, and grains
- Meat, poultry, fish, and shellfish
- Desserts, pastries, and puddings
- Breads, biscuits, cakes, and sponges
- Chocolate

Master essential techniques and gain the expertise to thrive in a fast-paced, professional kitchen environment.

You must have a Level 2 Professional Cookery qualification and a Grade 4 or above in English and Maths.

You will be assessed through a synoptic practical exam, externally set exam paper and all aspect of the course are graded Pass, Merit or Distinction.

You can progress onto Level 3 Patisserie and Confectionary or Level 3 Food and Beverage Service.
