Course Details

  • This short course will help give students the knowledge and skills to improve their understanding of safeguarding within the Health and Social Care sector.

    The objectives of the course are to enable learners to develop knowledge of how to fulfil their roles and responsibilities with respect to local multi-agency safeguarding policies and procedures. Students will learn about types and indicators of harm, abuse or neglect, legislation and frameworks that cover adult safeguarding, how to recognise and respond to concerns about harm, abuse or neglect and practical strategies to prevent them.

  • This course is for Health and Social Care students and/or frontline staff working or volunteering in the Health and Care sector.

  • This course will be assessed by quiz at the end of the training.

  • This qualification provides opportunities to progress into the Health and Social Care sector or onto further relevant programmes of study.
